Collection: The Story

Earthly Rebels was dreamt up in the sand dunes of Llangennith, inspired by the wild beachscapes of Gower, Wales. 

My name is Jay. I have been making botanical skincare for over a decade, working with locally foraged seaweeds and botanicals to highlight the healing and nourishing benefits of our natural environment.

More than skincare
I think about skincare not just as a product, but as an enriching wellbeing journey with nature—from seed to skin.

I am passionate about the concept of Blue Health, which highlights the healing and restorative power of our oceans and coastal environments. I also believe in the importance of Ocean Literacy—understanding the ocean’s vital role in regulating our climate, supporting ecosystems, and sustaining our well-being. This deeper connection encourages us to view our relationship with the ocean as more reciprocal and personal. The better we understand our marine environment, the better equipped and motivated we are to protect it.

Hands-on learning
Through my maker workshops and digital resources, I equip people with the knowledge and tools to reconnect with the sea in hands-on, meaningful ways, encouraging both personal wellness and environmental stewardship. 

What I love most is seeing how these resources empower others, sparking creativity, learning, and new ideas through shared experiences. By bringing the benefits of Blue Health and Ocean Literacy into my work, I am able to support a deeper connection to both nature and personal wellbeing, fostering a community that values and protects our marine resources.
